On a Day Like Today

The arc of this album treats twenty years of lived experience as if it were a day. Or it could chronicle a love affair, condensing its events into a single day. In the beginning, prospects are not promising. Despair fills the air. Lord have mercy. A morning espresso jolts the vibe onward and upward. There are awkward moments. A promising encounter. The slightest glimmer of hope. Is it real? Songs shift out of minor keys. Movement, music, and emotion fill the afternoon. The day ends following the lazy sun as it disappears over the horizon–into the night, the rise of an indigo moon.
